OVERVIEW
Successful drilling requires blending many technologies and services into a coherent efficient team. As part of that process, we need to understand the language and technology of drilling operations so that costs can be optimised and how drilling integrates into the 'bigger picture'. You will study rig equipment, third party services and how a proper understanding of both, combined with new technology, can improve safety and operational efficiency. This course is an essential aid for those seeking to improve their overall drilling knowledge, including; geologists, geophysicists, rig and office based petroleum and production engineers, technical support personnel and new entry level drilling staff.
STRUCTURE
The course format will mix lecture, work sessions and interactive discussion. There will be a short exam on day 2 to ensure delegate understanding.
